This past couple weeks has been slow, I felt really busy but looking back I didn't really do a lot. I spent my free time writing, studying, and recording which are all good things, but I feel like I missed out on some great things.
I feel like you can tell a lot about someone by how they spend their free time, we spend our free time on the things that are most important to us. I spent a lot of my free time focusing on me, whether it was studying or playing PlayStation it was primarily me focused. I can't help but wonder how things would be changing had I spent some of my free time in prayer and devotion, or out serving. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that spending time doing your thing is wrong, but I think that if all our free time is focused on us we have forgotten the real reason that we are here.
We are here to make a big deal about God, but too frequently I treat God like He's my maintenance guy. When things are bad Him and I spend a lot of time together, but when things are good it's a different story. I want to challenge you to take an inventory of your free time. What are you spending time on? What is most important to you right now?
